SolidXperts Joins The ‘Light The Night Walk’ For The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC)

Last Saturday, October 14 was a memorable day filled with emotions, thrills and music.

Thousands of walkers (co-workers, families, friends and many diverse Canadian communities) got together and walked with hope a 5 km at Parc Jean Drapeau during the ‘Light The Night Walk’ event to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC)

All walkers held lanterns highlighting their support for the cause: a white lantern for blood cancer patients and survivors, a red lantern for supporters and a gold lantern in memory of lost loved ones.

Our SolidXperts co-workers Léa Pile, Marie Raphael and Célia Pascoa participated in this walk and fundraised a total of CAD 300 that will be well invested.

In fact, the funds will serve to finance pioneering therapy, offer information and support programs and organize events for patients and their families.

Moreover, information sessions and full personalized assistance will be available via an information centre.

A total of a million and 37 dollars were fundraised to help 138 000 Canadians suffering from blood cancer! If you feel strongly about this cause, you can always use this link to make a donation.

The administration and the employees participate, many times a year, to various fundraisers. Many organisations and foundations, such as Sun Youth, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC), get nonperishable food baskets and money donations which are then delegated to projects linked with their respective missions.

The SolidXperts team strongly believes there is nothing more inspiring than seeing and hearing the difference each and everyone of us can make.
