Navigation System optimized:
Navigate, rotate and zoom all at once, in one fluid motion, without requiring the traditional mouse. - Access to all functions of SolidWorks with one push of a button:
Assign functions to keyboard commands and Speed Keys. Map new functions or use the mapping editor to create new configurations inside of
SolidWorks for each document type such as part, assembly or drawing. SpacePilot automatically updates the LCD with new commands as you change from one document to another.
Coordination of design sketch Modes:
- Sketch Mode:
Draw sketches or edit them with the mouse while efficiently positioning the work
plane and inspecting the sketch from multiple directions with SpacePilot.
Execute relevant functions such as Normal To, Smart Dimension,
Mirror Entities, as well as Esc, with a single click on SpacePilot’s
Speed Keys. Enable or disable the rotation with the 3D lock button.
- Part Modeling Mode:
Use your 3D controller to view a model from different angles while
adjusting the size of a feature with the mouse. Enjoy access to
functions such as: Shift, Ctrl, ESC, Zoom to Fit, Top/Front/Left/Right View,
Chamfer, Fillet and others.
- Assembly Mode:
Build assemblies effortlessly! Insert components while positioning the
complete assembly from the best angle. Move existing components freely.
Access functions like Insert Component, Mate, Move Component, Exploded View, Ctrl, Esc and many other functions.
- Drawing Mode:
Position the entire drawing sheet while creating and placing drawing views,
dimensions and annotations. Get quick access to Zoom to Fit, Measure,
Center Mark and all other Drawing mode functions

Operation of special optional features:
Perform the Zoom to Cursor command by holding the middle button on your traditional
mouse while pressing down on SpacePilot’s navigation cap. Set Rotation Center by selecting a face or vertex, or Set Rotational
Axis by selecting any line or edge.
