FIRST (Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology) Foster engineering and life skills in high-school students. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard “kit of parts” and a standard set of rules. After building robots from the parts, they enter them in competitions designed by Dean Kamen, Dr. Woodie Flowers, and a committee of engineers and other professionals. |
