Icône pour la section First Robotics

FIRST  (Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology)
FIRST seeks to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs.

Foster engineering and life skills in high-school students.  FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard “kit of parts” and a standard set of rules.  After building robots from the parts, they enter them in competitions designed by Dean Kamen, Dr. Woodie Flowers, and a committee of engineers and other professionals.
The FRC rewards students not only for excellence in design, but also based on team spirit, professionalism, and maturity, as well as for the ability to overcome difficulties; all traits that future employers will appreciate.
