On February 5th and 12th 2019, more than 180 students from Concordia University discovered the possibilities and benefits of Markforged Metal and Composite 3D printing.
Frédéric Dadure, 3D Printer Product Manager and Charles-Olivier Provost, 3D Printer Technical Representative, received groups of students over the course of two days and demonstrated in-person how to import a design, configure settings, and start printing in just minutes with Eiger.
Once the software phase was complete, the students explored the 3D printers and the sample 3D printed pieces and observed the Markforged Metal X print live.
The enthusiastic captive audience continued to learn about the future of design and manufacturing, and the experience didn’t end there. SolidXperts supplied 3D printed composite materials for the students to carry out stress tests.

What do the participants think? Read their testimonials:
– “I liked the industrial visit and I found it very informative.” –
– “We were able to know the each and every process involved in manufacturing a product from design stage to final stage.” –
– “Markforged technology provides a better way for additive manufacturing. This is done by increasing the speed of printing, using materials which are unsuitable for other 3d printers, and most importantly, they are economical.” –
SolidXperts is proud to support student learning and to help provide them with the knowledge they need for the future.
