Business Development Representative - Montréal, QC

The Business Development Representative will oversee the prospecting of clients in our territories in Quebec and the Maritimes. The representative will have to generate new leads/opportunities by getting in touch with businesses to align our solutions with their needs and will have to make sure that an on-site presentation is scheduled with the Account Manager and the Technical Representative.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new sales opportunities/leads with incoming and outgoing prospects;
  • Understand the needs and challenges of the clients and guide them to the appropriate Account Manager;
  • Work closely with the account manager and technical team;
  • Achieve the weekly and monthly goals;
  • Schedule appointments for the appropriate Account Manager at the client site;
  • Maintain and grow the prospects database in a specific geographic territory;
  • Participate in diverse events as trade shows, expositions, etc.;
  • Other related tasks.


Qualifications:

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in inside sales, prospection or call center
  • You are bilingual in French and English (Spoken & Written)
  • You have a valid driver’s licence (an asset)
  • You have a Canadian passport
  • You have an excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • You have previously worked with Salesforce or another similar CRM
  • You have an excellent knowledge of the different social medias platforms
  • You are a good listener
  • You can prioritize and multitasks
  • You have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • You have work experience in either the manufacturing or digital industry (an asset)

Account Manager - Quebec City

You have a notable interest and/or professional experience in the technical sector. You love selling and want to make the most of, and expand, your knowledge. Step up to the challenge!

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager at SolidXperts will be required to contact and meet existing and future clients. They will need to identify and understand client needs and provide support as part of the acquisition process. They will also present the SOLIDWORKS software and its many modules with the Technical Representatives. The Account Manager is also invited to participate in exhibitions and shows to promote SolidXperts solutions throughout the Quebec City office territories.

The ideal candidate has the following assets:

  • A business and technical background (an asset), or an interest in both sectors;
  • Technical Diploma and/or BA in Industrial Design (an asset);
  • Interest in new technologies;
  • Ability to communicate, in writing and verbally, in French (English an asset);
  • Analytical and deductive mind;
  • Independent and responsible;
  • Organized;
  • Knowledge of SalesForce or another CRM tool (an asset);
  • Communicates easily;
  • Possession of a car and a valid driver’s license.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Find, contact, and follow up with potential clients;
  • Provide and update sales forecasts on a weekly basis;
  • Assess needs and provide the necessary resources;
  • Plan presentations with the Technical Representatives on SolidXperts products and services;
  • Participate in exhibitions.

Working environment:

  • 25 days off for the first year
  • Work at the SolidXperts Quebec City office, and on the road (approx. 60-75%)
